5-Minute Fall Beauty Routine

I recently chopped and darkened my hair, and have been in full on fall-mode—I blame the fact that I’m currently working at Elle and have been talking about leather, coats, and boots since oh, July(!). So it’s only natural that I’ve been excited to start experimenting with a fresh new beauty look as well.

I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom Beauty Spot to play around with the array of beauty products available to create my go-to fall look. I’m about as low-maintenance as they come when it comes to beauty but I love experimenting with new products. I find that (in the mornings especially) the less steps / easiest process always wins… so a 5-minute routine is mandatory!

After searching around for a little inspiration (including trends and the cute how-tos they currently have on the Nordstrom Beauty Spot site) I’ve narrowed it down. I’ll be keeping my fall look fairly au naturel, and clean (as seen on the runways), but with a bold lip, and of course metallic and moody colored nails (because in my mind the manicure always completes the look!).

For clear and dewy skin my evening routine is key. I moisturize with a mix of oils as well as: La Mer Moisturizing CreamEstée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, and Clinique Moisture Surge

To get the look:  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (I prefer tinted moisturizers to heavy foundations with a touch of Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer where needed, and Nars Pressed Powder to set the look).  Stila Eyeliner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (because if it’s not waterproof it will be all over my face within an hour). A bold purple lip: Estée Lauder Lip Lacquer in Wet Plum and a dark manicure (pictured here: Estée Lauder Nail Polish in Smoked Chrome).

Have you thought about how you might experiment with your own look this fall?
