As much as I enjoy department stores (I could spend hours in Barney's, Bergdorf Goodman and my newer across the pond fave: Liberty of London) I'm partial to local boutiques. Not only do I like to support small shop owners (I've often dreamt about opening a store of my own one day) but I also prefer and appreciate a well edited collection. Enter: Otte (my neighborhood go-to and gem of a boutique). You've seen me wearing many items from Otte and I'm currently sharing my Holiday Pick's up on their site now so I thought it would be fun to share a peak inside their West Village location.
It was actually my girlfriend Melissa who introduced me to Otte long before I moved to New York. Who would have thought I would be living just blocks away (at least my guy knows where he can find me when I'm locked out of the apartment ~ this has happened). They carry a great selection of all the contemporary brands as well as their own Otte Signature line, and whether you're a local or planning a trip to NY I definitely recommend stopping in.

Been to Otte and love it. So funny, I live around the corner from OAK, and besides loving being on a first name basis with the staff, i have used their boutique's phone more than once to tell my husband I am without keys or phone - but that he will know where to find me ;)

So glad you posted this! I'll be in the city for New Year's and I've been making a list of the shops and restaurants I want to hit before we leave. My boyfriend keeps reminding me that we'll only be in town for 4 days!
