Moscato is having a moment at our place (we've been pairing it with spicier foods and take-out sushi).
One 'high' from this past week was our trip Upstate to see the changing leaves and pick apples (and pumpkins!) at a farm just an hour or so outside of the city. It's funny, when I lived in San Francisco I could hop in my car and be in nature within 20 minutes. It's something I definitely took for granted and although I love the city life and escaping the New York concrete is a bit more of a process, it's completely worth it. Prancing around in nature, snacking on popcorn and apple cider donuts was exactly what I had been craving. This weekend I have very little on my calendar which makes me quite happy. I'm thinking this Sunday's date will be a yummy brunch and a long, lingering walk. Do you have fun weekend plans?
The day I saw my celebrity crush: Jake Gyllenhaal. First time I was seriously star struck... those eyes!
Our mantel has become my second clothing rack. (PS: I will be giving away this amazing vintage Versace jacket next week in honor of Bib + Tuck's official launch.)

Your tiger top is to die for! Love it paired with the trench!

P.S.- The only way a Jake Gyllenhaal sighting could be any better is if he invited you to sit down and have some of that Moscato with him. Haha!
The Versace jacket is to die for!!! Beautiful! xo, Christina

What farm did you go to upstate? We're thinking of heading up this weekend. And that is so true, in the Bay Area you're like in nature in no time. I feel so out of touch in NYC!
Hi Christin! We took the train to Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm (http://www.wilkensfarm.com/). It was fun but pretty crowded and the apples are quite picked over now... I wouldn't actually recommend it this late in the season.
Closet Fashionista ~ I would have died! And I've never seen Source Code, but I'll watch anything he's in. haha ;)
aww, I've been so spoiled by living in the midwest during fall, minutes away from the country side and all the pumpkins and gourds from my boyfriends family farm than i can use! i cant wait to see your display :)
xoxo
I love that sweater with the lion on it! So cute
having a refuge outside of the city is the best.... it is calming and the fresh air, the quiet, so welcoming. there are a few cruises that travel up to bear mountain and go along the hudson, i would definitely recommend those!

Mmm, apple cider donuts would be perfect right now!
When I visited L.A. for the first time a million years, I was kind of bummed about not seeing any celebrities and then I went to Urth cafe because a friend recommended it and who do I spot sitting outside but Jake Gyllenhaal hanging out with Peter Scarsgard (this was before he married his sister). He holds a special place in my heart for being my celebrity sighting, lol.
get use to it girlie - u'll bump into a lot of celebs in NYC - they are MUCH friendlier there too for some reason - i think i told u, my beau and Matt Damon are practically best buds - CRAZY - it's their ritual in the am to talk baseball as he brings his daughter to school .. (the beau use to see the Olsen twins ALLLL the time too - the stories are endless)
sorry - PS - who are the leggings by? are they mixed leather? *thanks babes*
@Erika - I would love to see the Olsens and I've seen lots of celebs since moving here but he was the first I've been star stuck by. ;) The leggings are Paige Denim! x
I love taking mini-trips! Sounds like yours was just heavenly.
ps. I would probably flat out die if I saw Jake Gyllenhaal (ultimate crush)
Moscato is my favorite!! And escaping the concrete ju gle is definitely a little work but worth it :).
Totally jealous you saw jake, he is a looker for sure!
Xoxoxo
That's a great blouse with the detail on the collar – gorgeous!
Sea and Swank
Love the pumpkins! And *gasp* you saw Jake Gyllenhaal??? So jealous, I adore him!
Keep calm and carry lipstick.
I had to comment because of the Moscato! I always keep a bottle of it chilled! It's like dessert and a drink in one!

Love your pics .. Me and my husband we were planning to go apple picking also but a lot of the local farms are over-picked .. I was sad .. I wanted to make my apple tart tatin .. I just ended up going to the farmers market and picking up some juicy apples instead :) Will you be sharing some pics from your apple picking adventure?
