Mini Moments

This guy has been helping me plan my outfits (dress from OtteNY).

With New York Fashion Week just around the corner my mind has been preoccupied with a) what to wear and b) getting our apartment ready for our next round of house guests. Besides the shows it's always so fun to see and meet everyone and I wanted to make sure you all knew that I will be speaking at the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference on Tuesday, September 4th. You can still buy tickets... I hope to meet you there!

After painting my nails and leaving my polishes / magazines out on the coffee table last night I came home to this lovely little illustration by my guy. Boys.

Joie Blouse.  Vince Leather Shorts.  3.1 Phillip Lim Satchel.  JCrew Jewelry.

I wore this casual outfit to grab lunch in the West Village last week with Kim. We ordered burrata and grilled panini's at one of my go-to neighborhood spots, Zampa.

Homemade Avocado Toast.

View from the Brooklyn Bridge.

I've pulled out my velvet flats again (aka fall is right around the corner).

I'm so excited for Fashion Week as well! sadly I don't think I can get to the IFB conference as I'm flying in the day after but I know you'll rock the house!! Congrats on that opportunity =) I hope to run into you and some familiar blogger faces at FNO or some of the shows in between and look forward to pulling out fall favorites to try some yummy restaurants in the West village and beyond! Your NYC lifestyle looks like so much fun- hope you have a great rest of the week xx Sallie

Love those velvet flats! I tried to introduce a velvet blazer into my wardrobe a couple years ago, but it didn't go over well. This is such a fun way to play with the fabric! Also completely lusting after your blouse! So fierce! :)

@Emily - I agree... velvet can be a hard one to wear. I would try pairing your velvet blazer with distressed denim for a cool contrast!
