Family barbecues with my Dad's oldies playing in the background, pool games like Marco Polo, roasting marshmallows to make s'mores and watching the fireworks from the balcony of my childhood house are just a few of my favorite 4th of July memories. This year I'm planning to keep things pretty low key. An afternoon spent reading poolside followed by hamburgers and cocktails sounds pretty perfect to me (and all the while I plan to be decked out in red, white and blue). Wishing you a happy and relaxing 4th!
