DIY Christopher Kane x J Brand Inspired Jeweled Jeans

I tend to go through DIY (do it yourself) phases and I am currently on quite the be-dazzling kick. This past weekend I set out to re-create my own version of the Christopher Kane for J Brand Jeweled Jeans and while these may be a little on the cutesy side for some (aka as a 4 year old you would have rocked them), I am more than happy with the way they turned out!

Follow the easy steps below to re-create them yourself.

What you need: old jeans, E-6000 glue and rhinestones of varying sizes.

Lay your jeans out flat and make a note of where you will be gluing the gems (just above and around the knee). I started by sorting through the rhinestones, separating the sizes and laying out floral patterns.

Next, start gluing (I used a toothpick to thinly spread the glue on the denim)!

Fill in the space around your floral patterns with a mix of both large and small rhinestones and don't worry about keeping the legs too matchy matchy. Let dry overnight.

I love how the rhinestones are clustered together, rather than randomly stuck on. You definitely pull it off perfectly. They are a whimsical counterpart to your more sophisticated pieces :)

Oh my gosh, I did something like this in grade 8 and I love that it's back. I wish I had held on those crazy grade 8 jeans.

Alicia, this DIY makes you a bedazzling QUEEN! I am curious about how they will be after your first wash, maybe washing inside out might help....but I hear that E-6000 glue is legit!

Considering the original jeans are like $2,250 - this is a great alternative! I don't have the confidence to rock them, but with a great silk blouse and hat, you make it look easy!

@Taylor - Yes I will admit the original version definitely has that cool factor that these are slightly lacking but for the price difference I'll take it! x

I can't believe you made those yourself! Extra points for calling it "be-dazzled" :)

And those shoes! They match your skin tone perfectly!

Adorable! If I did this I would probably look like the 4 year old clothes wearing adult...lol. Maybe I'll get the nerve to try it out, if it doesn't work I'll make some for my daughter :-)
