Saturday the weather couldn't have been more perfect so I grabbed my camera, slipped on my most comfortable sandals and walked around the Meatpacking District. As much as I enjoy meeting up with friends, some afternoons are just as lovely when spent alone with nowhere in particular to be.
My first Chelsea Market experience (holy moly! I could not believe how big it is inside).
I spent the entire weekend in these Gentle Souls sandals and my feet couldn't have been happier.
You know me and cool lighting (snapped inside Anthropologie).
Charming windows spotted in the West Village when en route to the Meatpacking District.
An apricot snack break.

Those slightly aimless days with a good pair of shoes and a camera are so special. I love the oversized t and short. Hope you are having fun exploring NYC all over again. zo
Looks like a lovely afternoon! Sometimes a little quality time with yourself is just what you need. :)
Love your pictures, they make me miss New York so bad...

These pics remind me of your mini moments and make me miss NY so much....Also, after a failed attempt at a local DC container store I figured I would ask. I had such a hard time with the sales associate that I wanted to punch him lol, I even showed him the pics on your blog from my phone. OMG, I hate when stores can't find what I want. When I want something I want it NOW ( oh dear, I sound like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka ha) Alicia is there an item number/or item name of the stack containers that might help make my 2nd attempt this weekend easier? #frustratedshopper (ha)

Don't you ever get bored without a job? I enjoy wandering around NYC's different neighborhoods, too, but by Monday I'm so thankful to be able to go back to work to have something to do. Chelsea Market is pretty cool! I personally love Eataly better.
I love that last photo of an NYC street! Saturday was such a nice break from the heatwave. I'm also adding Chelsea Market to my NY bucket list before I leave :)
I'm so happy you finally experienced Chelsea Market!! Isn't it just the best!?

looks like my kind of afternoon spent exploring and snapping pictures! glad you're loving your new neighborhood.
for the record, i'm also obsessed with anthro lighting-- and pretty much all of their displays!
@lauren - yes Anthro has the best displays!
@Amber - Ah, I'm so sorry your Container Store did not have them. I unfortunately don't have a skew number but I can check next time I go to the Container Store here in NYC.
@Katie - My blog as well as multiple side projects are currently keeping me very busy so no, I'm definitely not bored. And thanks... Eataly is on my list to check out next! ;)
@Amber - *Update... these are the trays (mine are the large acrylic open stacking trays):

I've never been to NYC but I hear a lot of buzz about the Meatpacking District! I guess it's the place to be and be seen. Great pics!
@Amber - of course! You're SO welcome! x

What a lovely way to spend a Saturday! Miss you. xx
Beautiful photos, the Meatpacking District looks so cool! Love the sandals, too. :)
Keep calm and carry lipstick.
I love seeing bloggers' weekend outfits. It's nice to see the low key version of personal style. And I completely agree that a day of wandering and taking photos is sometimes exactly what is needed.

That's one of my favorite neighborhoods to walk around -- some shopping, food, the High Line... hard to beat!
I love your black and white striped shirt. Where did you find it?
@Memories of an Impossible Home - Thank you! It's an oldie but goodie from Joie Clothing... but they have similarly striped blouses now! x
