Following a delicious lunch at Cafe Gitane in Meat Packing (wearing: Helmut Lang Blazer + Old Navy Tee).
We finally found our perfect (albeit little) apartment in the West Village! New York City has always been on my bucket list of places I've wanted to live but the truth is I never actually thought I could do Manhattan before this year. San Francisco was the perfect stepping stone city before moving on to the Big Apple and as hesitant as I am to admit it, I also needed these past few months upstate to really get a good feel for the city and the East Coast in general. I now feel more confident that we (my guy and I) will be very happy in our new neighborhood and we're looking forward to our move (minus the packing and physical labor part) at the end of this month. Here are a few photos from our somewhat exhausting but mainly celebratory weekend.
Charming stoops (it never gets old).
Turns out I packed horribly for this weekend. The weather was hot and humid and I wore an all black and leather ensemble while apartment hunting. Up and down numerous flights of stairs... it was not a pretty sight.
Alexander McQueen in the window at Saks.
Pink Peonies (my favorite) at a flower shop in the West Village.
And the 10 Revlon lipstain winners are: Courtney, SK, BmoreLoveLeigh, Renee, Samara, Grace, Taryn Inglis, Lucy Chen, Stephanie, Sara B. (I will email you all soon)!

yay nyc! congrats on finding a place!
i think a lot of people assume you can only really move cities/states/countries when you're really young or for uni, and it does take courage to move when you've been working a bit & settled into adult life - good for you for taking the step & inspiring us all :)
