Mini Moments

Besides a Chipotle burrito date night on Friday I haven't seen much of my guy (he's been swamped with school projects and work), which means lots of 'me' time has been happening over here

The above looks were from the final collection at the annual Cornell fashion show on Saturday night. I was completely impressed with the talented student designers and student models. It was by far my favorite Cornell event I've attended this year (helps that it was right up my alley) and it's always fun to have an excuse to dress up. My girlfriend and I made a night out of it and grabbed mojitos after the show.

Wearing my BaubleBar monogramed necklace (the first item I own with my married initials).

Enjoying an afternoon cup of mint green tea while reading magazines, listening to Citizen Cope, painting a neutral manicure (Deborah Lippmann Fashion) and sending notes.

An edgy / cool two-tone number that's very Helmut Lang... wouldn't you agree?

I love Citizen Cope and handwritten letters! I've met Clarence 2x and he's an old soul. A truly humble artist.

Love that bag. is it as heavy as it looks though? These bags that weigh 10 pounds before they have one item in it should come with a chiropractor.

Looks like a relaxing weekend. I love sending handwritten notes even in this digital age:)

Alicia said...

@Anonymous - nope... it's not heavy at all!

Super into the monogrammed necklace and the hunter green bag. Super cute style and I respect your commitment to magazine reading- I always just end up with piles of them around my house.

I'm secretly relieved I'm not the only the only one with lots of me time while their sweetheart gets done to work! Sounds like you're making the most of it!

Isn't it fascinating how much evolves in the fashion world and how constant the evolving is? Obvious talent seen at the Cornell Fashion Show. Just the other day as I walked through the FIT campus with Lesly Blandon, designer/president of BLANDON, I looked at him and said 'we could very well be crossing paths at this very moment with the next Alexander McQueen. Who knows!' Enjoying the present fashion and excited about the future of it.
Have a fabulous week!

That is so cray-cray! I just got my bauble bar shipment today FULL of monogrammed pieces...with my new (soon-to-be) married initials! Yay for personalized necklaces! :)

Although having a significant other in grad school takes them away from you a lot, it does give you a lot of "me" time to enjoy girly things that boys just can't appreciate.

I love your green bag. It is stunning and such a statement piece.

Your stationary is very pretty. Where is it from?

Alicia said...

@Shayne Renee - thank you - it's Tory Burch. ;)

My Boy is still in school and I feel your pain! Its tough to be a supportive girlfriend when you just want to curl up with takeout and a movie & he has finals to study for! ;)

Also, your new monogram necklace is so sweet, I've always thought of that; all my monograms will change whenever I get married someday!
