I'm excited and slightly nervous as I am terribly camera shy, to debut my first ever video blog posts. I've collaborated with Revlon® to bring you mini tutorials throughout the year and to kick things off I will be sharing two simple how-tos. The first is a natural everyday look and the second is an easy smoky eye.
For a simple everyday look I typically wear a light foundation, mascara, and finish with a swipe of lipgloss. Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush™ Mousse Makeup is lightweight yet provides the coverage I need (goodbye blemishes and acne scars!). Apply where needed (for me that is my t-zone and around my eyes) with your fingertips or a brush for buildable coverage. Next I added a single coat of Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume™ Mascara and lipgloss (I like these Revlon glosses from this Friday Finds post). I was out the door in minutes and with a latte in hand.

A sultry smoky eye is something I have yet to master but I am able to achieve the look I want by simply layering the colors from the Revlon® ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eye Shadow palette. Start by priming your eyes with Revlon PhotoReady™ Eye Primer + Brightener. Next layer the shadows adding the deepest shade of charcoal as a finishing touch to contour the eyes. Complete the look with multiple coats of Revlon 3D Volume™ Mascara, which will really make your eyes pop. Throw on a leather jacket and you're evening ready.
I hope you liked my first video attempts (and for more beauty tips head right this way)!

You are too cute! Don't be nervous - you look beautiful and these are adorable.
Really interested in the foundation. I too like a really natural look, but I fight with some mild acne problems (and my skin has its fair share of unevenness from past breakouts - ugh!). Do you find that this one doesn't break you out at all? I may just have to try!
Great job. :D

Congratulations on your first video blog post! It was great!

@Kristin - Awe, thanks so much for your sweet comment! No, the Revlon foundation didn't cause break outs (I'm acne prone too), although I will say it's light coverage so if you're looking for something heavier this might not be for you. x
Alicia, love the smokey eye look! I think you've inspired me to try it out for my formal tonight!

These are great Alicia! I've been toying with the idea of video posts for my blog as well, I think they add a fun, more personal element to a post. Additionally, I want to try this smokey eye for the weekend. Come back and play soooon! xoxo
I'm a big fan of Revlon's Photoready Foundation! I've been using for the last couple years and it gives me the light dewey coverage I love. I havent tried the Airbrush Mousse yet but might have to give a try!

Great post! I usually use a sponge for my foundation since I think that brushes can make things look cakey.

Great post and the videos turned out awesome. Do you mind answering a question? What type of brush are you using to apply the eye shadow in the 2nd video? It looks larger than the ones I have and was wondering if it helps with the smokey look.
Thanks!
Great videos Alicia. I am really thinking about picking up that PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup, what brush are you using to apply it?
@Pixie and @Rosa - I used a foundation brush that I've had for years (finger tips would work fine too!).
the videos are so short! haha but good to see, never thought of using "mousse" foundation before! great videos!
