Floral Silk

Steve Madden Pumps.  J.Crew Necklace.  Target Tee.

These Elizabeth and James trousers were the second piece sent my way to style up for Bib + Tuck's Fashion Forward Project. I instantly fell in love with the billowy spring-like floral pattern. A mix between pajamas and office-wear, they were the perfect pant to prance around in on my final day in California as I will be taking the red-eye back to New York this evening. It's going to be a cold / snowy next few months back East but I'm anxious to get back into our routine and feel settled once again in the tiny apartment that we currently call home.

they remind me a bit of the 1970s jumpsuits, with the insane floral patterns, but in more muted, demure colors; love them here with the neutral blazer!

You chopped your hair! It looks so pretty & fresh! As does this outfit, I love the soft color palette! I have to admit, I'm kind of excited for you to head back to NY and continue blogging in cold & snow, because so few bloggers live in cold climates and I'm in need of some inspiration to get me through these freezing next few months!

Fashion forward is right- those are some fancy pants! You look lovely. Love that you styled it up with simple pieces and a neutral palette so that it's you wearing the outfit & not the other way around!

Happy Monday Alicia!

@Satin and Salt - Awe, thank you so much - what a sweet comment. I'm so happy I've inspired you! x

@Styleclouds - Yes it is... Revlon Siren. FYI it's even brighter orange in person but a very fun color to play around with!

Styleclouds said...

Thanks Alicia! I'll have to check where they sell Revlon around here since we don' t have Walgreens in Germany. :-( But I have an idea where I have seen it. :-)xo, Christina

I would have liked to have seen a full length photo of you standing to get a look at how the pants sit. I'm not sure I could pull them off, but they look great on you!
