DIY Furry Clutch

I've teamed up with Waverly and 12 other bloggers to create a gift idea for Christmas. When given the task of making a DIY gift for my best girlfriend I instantly thought of a clutch. I had this Alexander Wang Lydia clutch in mind for inspiration, and while it didn't quite turn out exactly as I had originally anticipated, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and think my best girlfriend (my little sister) will love it!

Here's what you'll need:

Fabric
Clutch
Fur
Thread and Needle
Scissors

Note: I covered a clutch that I already had but if you have a sewing machine and/or are feeling extra crafty you could definitely make this clutch from scratch.

Measure and cut fabric to the size of clutch.

Cut the tassel off (if applicable).

Sew fabric (flipped inside out) using the clutch as a base line.

Once both sides are sewn, flip inside out and slide clutch inside.

*Option: sew or hot glue fabric to clutch.

Sew (or hot glue) fur balls along the top of the clutch. I attached two balls to the tassel, hiding any remaining aqua color.

Finished product!
