It's that time, I'm stocking up on winter accessories (beanies, berets, leggings, tights and a new pair of gloves) for my first East Coast winter that is just around the corner. I'm truly enjoying fall and even though I'm slightly nervous for the extreme temps the novelty of a snowy holiday season is rather enticing. Of course we shall see what tune I'm singing come February! If you live in cooler climates what outerwear and accessories (gloves in particular) do you recommend for those harsher months?

ahhh, i want half of these gloves!
I can't wait to start picking out winter accessories... although it was about 93 degrees today so I guess I still have to wait a while...

In love with the Valentino gloves! I've recently shared them on my blog as well! :o)

Those Topshop cheetah print gloves! Instant love.

Such cute picks! I just came across those little leather Valentino ones too and am dying to buy them. I had my very first real winter last year, so I know your excitement/fear. Definitely get ear warmers and fluffy mittens. They help you stay cozy.
I'm loving all of these!!
I actually get by just fine with a peacoat and gloves in the winter, but I could be insane ;) I should probably get some cute hats and things

For the winter we had last year in NYC let alone upstate I would legit get ski gloves. lol. Anything that's heavy material and will keep your hands warm. Ahh your first winter here. It's exciting!!!

love bows so naturally I am drawn to Valentino!
I would love for you to enter to win a beautiful necklace over at Lilac and Grey!
I live in Sweden, so I know cold! I wear those cheap tiny knitted gloves under my leather gloves so they are extra warm and stylish. xoxo
ahhhh welcome to the frigid east coast winter! i absolutely recommend some lined leather gloves, but i also love the mittens where the finger clover flips up- great for walking the dog!

These gloves make me happy for winter :)
You know --- I'm not a huge fan of winter, but seeing these amazing glove/hat options is really starting to warm me up to this frigid season (both literally and figuratively)! Awesome picks!

The plaid Rag + Bone gloves are amazing! Must have for winter to pair with a simple coat.
i want cute gloves this year
Of course the Valentino ones were my favorite. Cashmere taste, polyester budget! ;) Loving the Rag & Bone ones too. Great choices!
THese are great!!! I def recommend dark neutrals, and ones at a lower price point. They are bound to get dirty (and or stained) and if you are anything like me, you take one off to answer your phone, check you lipstick, then one will get lost....sad but it's happened to me each year! I found a GREAT pair of leather at Club Monaoco & I always love the soft knit that J.Crew comes out with, esp the ones with the flip-to-mittens for easy texting!
I have a Burberry stole that I wear as a scarf & it definitely keeps me warm.
I've lived in New York my entire life, so I know that it can get pretty cold out. Most important I would say is a really good, warm scarf! You can always put your hands in your jacket if you don't have gloves, but a scarf will really help because New York winters are windy and you can even pull some of the scarf up over your head if you forgot your hat! I hope you enjoy your first NY winter!!

Great pieces. Though I will say by end of December/January, you may have seen a decent amount of snow already! These snow storms lately are no joke!
I LOVE both pairs of Valentino gloves and the plaid Topshop ones, I need them all!!! But alas, seeing as it is still 90 degrees here in Phoenix I guess they will not be joining my closet any time soon :(
xoxo
All these gloves are so darling! I'm a big fan of fairly light leather gloves-they'll protect your hands without stealing all your movement!
The Same you show here! :D
love it ♥

insulated leather gloves. i live about an hour from where you are now and be ready for LOTS of snow. when it comes, i feel like the sky just dumps it on. invest in a nice coat for going out and also one for outdoor stuff (building snow men, skiing, snowboarding, or just for long periods of time outside.)
Have you ever thought about faux fur accessories. I love your blog and religiously follow it but I am most definitely not a fan of the real fur scarves and mitts you post about :(
Loving those flannel gloves a lot....

Love them all! I'm so jealous you get to wear gloves in NYC. Texas barely stays cold enough to wear them!
