Thanks to a generous birthday present from my in-laws and Shopbop's Friends and Family discount I was able to purchase the quilted leather jacket I have been dreaming about (and blogged about here)! As anticipated, I've been wearing it non-stop and am crossing my fingers that the weather holds out so I can keep sporting it as long as possible before my not so flattering puffy down jacket is forced to make it's winter debut.

I've been contemplating those tights for awhile and you definitely make the case stronger for me to buy them. I just have such an aversion to spending so much on tights. Madewell does have a pair for $10 less.

This jacket is a great cut on you! Mixed with the girly pleated dress, red blouse, and whimsical tights, it is a great contrast of "hard" vs. "soft" As usual, love that Alexander Wang Coco Duffel!

PS -- This is vaguely off topic, but I would love to see you or the Glitter Guide do a feature on the most flattering down coat options. Puffy down coats are an unfortunate necessity in the northeast, and all of my recent searches have been fruitless.
