Playing Favorites {Beauty}

Nivea Moisturizing Creme. Nars Monoi Body Glow II. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. Nars Super Orgasm Illuminator.
YSL Gloss #10 Pure Redcurrant. Revlon Orange Flip. Nars Heat Wave. Smith's Minted Rosebud Salve.

My beauty routine is simple (as mentioned numerous times) but I thought I'd share a few of my daily favorites. I recently mentioned my very exciting tinted moisturizer discovery:  Laura Mercier as well as my new found love: Nars Super Orgasm Illuminator for dewy / glowing cheeks (I also use Nars Orgasm blush and bronzer). Along with these newbies, old time favorites include: Smith's Minted Rosebud Salve (always in my purse), Nars Heat Wave (the perfect red orange) and Nivea Moisturizing Creme (smells fresh, is extra rich and non-greasy). Another lipgloss winner is YSL Gloss #10 - Pure Redcurrant or if you're looking for a more affordable version of the Nars Heat Wave lipstick try: Revlon's Orange Flip.

What are a few of your favorite beauty products?

revlon colorstay liquid eyeliner is like my savior. I have tubes of it in my purse, car and on my vanity -- and I am I not a makeup or beauty girl.

Oh man, I have been hearing so many good things about NARS Orgasm. I think I'm going to have to give it a go!

A few favs of mine - Nars Primer, Stila black eyeliner and Buxom gloss - no favourite colour they all have a lovely sheer sheen.
In love with Nars in every single way.

I, myself, am a recent Laura Mercier convert and couldn't be happier. I use all her face/skin products to great results.

PS NARS Orgasm blush is great on all skin tones :)

How do you apply the Nars Illuminator? I've picked it up a bunch of times but get intimidated and just put it down. Do you put it on last?? It definitely works for you!

That Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is the best! I discovered it about a year ago -- I took a sample with me on a trip, and thought my skin looked amazing the whole time. Turned out it wasn't Vegas -- it was the moisturizer! I've been using it ever since.

My current beauty faves are Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliater and Philosophy Eye Hope -- I started using both for about a month, and I swear my skin looks better than it has in five years. =)

I am a newly converted BB Cream user. Have you heard of it before? I use the Skin 77 brand. It really has changed the way my skin looks.

Thanks for recommending Heat Wave. I wore it in my last outfit post and got lots of compliments. :)

I'm a sucker for Stila convertible colors-perfect, dewy shades, Smith's Strawberry salve (there's a tin in every bag, drawer and pouch) and L'Oreal Naturale mascara-I'm a sucker for long, defined, un-thickened lashes and it does the trick!

I love Rosebud's Strawberry Salve, and there's a Neutrogena concealer that I absolutely can't live without.

glad to see you're up again! I was waiting to leave a comment cause I recently got my hands on Orange Flip too after reading lots of reviews about the perfect orange lipstick. For some reason, every single color is available in a sample at Sephora or Ulta but not the orange ones!

Did you ever elaborate on the nars manoi body glow? I think it smells awesome, but I can't bring myself to purchase it. A little insight on how you use it/what you like about it would be great. FYI, this question is really open to all who own the product. Thanks!

I love posts like these. I'm always interested in seeing what other people are using!

My beauty favs are Mac Fluidliner, Nivea lotion, and Nivea chapstick. I'm super simple.

I never do well with the LM Tinted moisturizer, but I'm one of the few that feels this way. I can't live without Rosebud Salve! I'm a huge NARS liptstick fan.

Just wanted to say that I stumbled upon your blog the other day and I am now obsessed with it! I am a fellow San Francisco resident and couldn't even dream of looking half as fabulous as you do, but now I have something to strive for haha. Thank you for putting such beautiful photos (and more leopard print!) into the world.
