Cheese Plus {Mozzarella + Prosciutto}

Life in San Francisco sure makes it easy for me to not cook at home very often. I enjoy dining out with friends and ordering take-out on most nights (last night was sushi night). It's not that I don't like a home cooked meal, but often times running to the nearest deli or corner cafe is so much more convenient (and enjoyable) than cooking when I'm famished and often times grumpy. Cheese Plus on Polk makes delicious sandwiches and when I'm in the mood this fresh mozzarella and prosciutto grilled "Parma" is my idea of sandwich heaven. What's your favorite sandwich combination?
PS: I vow to cook more once I'm married, but until then (1 more month)... take-out and convenience it is! ;)

Oh I'm so jealous! Just got back from my holiday to San Francisco (my second visit) and you guys have the best food culture and some amazing bread makers. I loved Tartine and Outerlands and met a lovely man called Josie Baker at the SFMOMA Meatpaper event who also makes very good bread.
That sandwich looks absolutely delicious. Personally, anything with mozarella and avocado is a winner :)

Oh my god... YUM. I can eat prosciutto for days. That is my favorite sandwich. I will have to check that place out next time I am in the city. I have a family run deli/grocer "Zanatto's" that I head to whenever I am in the mood for that yummy treat. Happy Wednesday!

@Violet - You could easily make this sandwich yourself too, as long as you buy fresh ingredients I'm sure it will taste just as good!

That looks delicious! John and I are actually pretty fanatical about cooking, but there's nothing like a quick supper when you're starving!

I feel you! It's hard not to just wander down to Beretta every other night. Luckily it's too hard on the wallet! I love making panini's with acme bread, vermont cheddar, and granny smith slices.

hahaaha! I "vowed" the same thing, but my schedule didn't change I just got married, hence I cook just as much as I did before ;P

PS. Now I want this sandwich!

YUMMY! Proscuitto and mozz is quite possibly the best combo ever, throw some balsamic drizzle and pesto on there and you have walked right into food heaven.
One of my other favorite sadnwich combos is turkey, bacon, pear and brie w/honey mustard. Ooooh I am getting so hungry just writing this!
