The Collection {Coffee Table Books}

I have concluded that it is important I start a coffee table book collection, considering I will have my own place to fully decorate as I please once married. Not only are coffee table books perfect accent pieces, but I think it is of utmost importance that I provide reading material for my guests. I was recently given In Vogue (a comprehensive book on Vogue Magazine) as the start to my collection. What coffee table books do you own and recommend I incorporate in my wish list?

Sister Dates

Vintage Necklace, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Dress

I spent my birthday evening on a casual date with my little sister. We try to make a point of spending time together on Sundays aka "sister Sundays," and since she worked this past weekend it was nice to use my actual birthday as an excuse to grab dinner and a cocktail. A Strawberry Fields cocktail to be exact. ;) We relished the warm San Francisco weather by dining on the back patio at the Tipsy Pig. It will be sad to move so far away from her next year and we are definitely making the most of our remaining months living together. Although I like change and know this year has exciting things in store for me, I'm really not a fan of this getting older business. I wish I could bring her with me to New York next year, along with the rest of my girlfriends!

Birthday Brunch {Beretta}

A big thanks to my girlfriends who met for brunch this afternoon to celebrate my 25th birthday (which is actually tomorrow, the 27th). And thanks for all the birthday wishes from my blog friends. :) Beretta was delicious, I've been wanting to go for sometime now and was happy to finally make it! My pampelmousse cocktail (gin, lemon, grapefruit, basil, elderflower) was refreshing and a nice change from the usual brunch mimosa. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to celebrate: amazing food, friends, and an afternoon mani / pedi to round out the weekend.
PS: Run, don't walk to your nearest H&M - this leopard ruffle skirt is only $25.

Weekend To-do List

JCrew Blouse, JBrand Cargo Pants, Marc Jacobs Purse, Michael Kors Watch, Vintage Pearls

I am beyond ready for the weekend. With no set plans (except for my birthday brunch!), I am simply excited for leisurely mornings spent in my pjs, a long run along the water and plenty of time catching up with girlfriends. I would also love to spend a good part of my Saturday afternoon attempting a few of the recipes I say I will try "one day" yet never get around to. This lavender lemonade for instance sounds unbelievably intriguing.
What's on your weekend to-do list?

For the Love of Cheetah

This photo is beyond amazing. First off, we have animal print! Secondly, that light pink feathery dress, oh my! I would love to prance around in something like that. And last but not least, socks pulled off with heels perfectly. I recently purchased leopard print socks... just wondering what to wear them with.

Cozy Sweaters & Comfort Food

Alice + Olivia Sweater, Rich and Skinny Jeans, Kate Spade Flats, Tory Burch Bag
 JCrew Necklace, Diane von Furstenberg Sunglasses

Some nights simply require cozy sweaters, baggy jeans and a side of gourmet mac & cheese. This Alice + Olivia sweater is the ultimate chunky knit (also seen here), equal parts cozy and chic. It has been in constant rotation since the day I purchased it. After running a few errands Monday night, the little sis and I made a pit stop for dinner in the Marina. As soon as I spotted macaroni and cheese on the menu I knew I had to order a side with my glass of cabernet. The baked cheesy goodness hit the spot and quickly turned my not so exciting Monday around.

Girls with Style {Victoria}

Zara Leather Jacket, Forever 21 Blouse and Jewelry, Urban Outfitters Pants, Barneys Bag,
Banana Republic Ankle Boots, Michael Kors Watch, Anthropologie Jewelry

This little cutie met up with my sister and I last week for small bites and sangria (see post here). Victoria is always perfectly accessorized and completely photograph worthy. I love her seemingly carefree yet edgy style. She has the ability to mix and match brands, making even the most basic pieces look expensive.

Favorite Stores: Barneys, LF, Vince, Kate Spade
Favorite Brands: Marc Jacobs, Rachel Zoe, Velvet and Milly
And best of all this stylish lady has two cats named: Dolce and Gabbana

Weekend Snippets

My weekend was filled with wedding planning and time spent with my parents. Iced coffees were ordered, a meeting with our florist was held, a mandatory trip to Target was made (Tucker for Target blouse worn below) and a lingering Saturday night dinner downtown was savored. I rounded out the weekend with take-out chinese food in my pajamas while catching up with my sister.
What was the highlight of your weekend?

Fall Wish List {Part 2}

Part 2 of my fall wish list primarily includes leopard and cheetah prints (obviously) in the form of heels and faux fur as well as an abundance of sequins. I am completely obsessed with the above silver Alice + Olivia sequined cardigan and would make plenty of excuses to rock it, even if just over skinny jeans and a white tee.

Anna Sui Leopard-print Rabbit Bolero
Jennifer Behr Diamente-embellished Hairband
Alexander Wang Alpaca Cowl-Neck Sweater
Alexander Wang Jena Laser-Cut Leather Clutch
Alice + Olivia Steph Sequined Jersey Cardigan
Chloe Paraty Python Bag
Sequined Slouch Pants
Miu Miu Pony Hair Platform Sandals

La Lola {Mini Bites + Sangria}

A favorite neighborhood gem of mine is La Lola. The casual atmosphere, spanish tapas and tasty house sangria makes for the perfect place to meet friends. This cute food/wine bar is nestled on the corner of Mason and Pacific among quaint apartments in Nob Hill. If you sit near the window you can watch the cable cars pass by. It is so San Francisco and yet at the same time feels very European. If you happen to have time after work I suggest going during their happy hour. $3 sangria and bar fries (pictured below) just can't be beat.
PS: I want a red chandelier in my home one day.
PSPS: Thanks for all the sangria recipes, can't wait to try them!

Lace For Days

Free People Lace Top, Rich & Skinny Boyfriend Jeans, Alexander Wang Pumps, Tory Burch Bag,
JCrew Necklace, Knock-Off Alexander McQueen Scarf

I've been wearing this lace top by Free People practically every other day (also seen here). It's the perfect layering piece and since it comes in multiple colors I'm tempted to buy them all. In fact I bought it in black for my sister just because I'm nice (wink wink), but really so I could borrow it! I wore this casual outfit out for sangria with girlfriends. Which by the way, I'm on the hunt for an amazing sangria recipe and would love to hear if you have one!!

Fall Wish List {Part 1}

September is already in full swing (my birthday month!) and I can't seem to get fall shopping off my mind. Since money doesn't grow on trees and I should currently be saving for real life (aka marriage) here's a list of items that I WISH I could purchase for this fall:

Diane von Furstenberg Wool Cape Jacket
Stella McCartney Cashmere-blend Leopard Tee
Cutler and Gross Sunglasses
Proenza Schouler Medium Leather PS1 Bag
Alice + Olivia Pleated Leather Skirt
Alice + Olivia Marigay Rosette Feather Dress
Tory Burch Halima Suede and Leather Ankle Boots
Miu Miu Ankle Booties

Warning, this is only part 1, a second list is on its way later this week.
What's on your fall wish list?

Can I please have this lady's entire outfit!

Fashion's Night Out

My girlfriend Tara hosted her very own Fashion's Night Out party in honor of New York's FNO tomorrow night. This particular party was a Stella and Dot jewelry party and let me tell you this line has some pretty cute pieces! I was actually asked to host my own party next month and I'm so excited to do it all over again. Food, girls, jewelry, cocktails... what else could you ask for on a Thursday night?
Happy Weekend!! Yay for short weeks! :)

Fur Time

Members Only Faux Fur Vest, 7 for all Mankind Jeans, Free People Top, JCrew Necklaces, Jean-Michel Cazabat Boots, Alexander Wang Bag

Last Friday night was chilly enough to break out the fur vest for my walk to get Chinese food. This vest has a high collar, or maybe I have a short neck, but either way it makes me feel claustrophobic so I just tuck the collar under. Maybe one day I'll actually sew the collar down or cut it out but for now this will do the trick! On another note, Friday night was only the second time I've worn my leopard boots. Can you believe it? I bought them on sale over a year ago, and I guess I've just been waiting for the right occasion to wear them again. I will definitely make sure to get plenty of use out of them this fall!
