Triple Date {Tamarine}

My friend Nicole and I started a weekly tradition called "Monday Funday." This particular night does not necessarily have to fall on a Monday (although this is how it originated) but is simply an excuse to indulge and catch-up because honestly, I can't go more than a week without seeing her! So far the past MF nights have included: wine bars, new restaurants, a Warriors Game and viewings of LOST (I am FINALLY almost caught up!!). 

Our most recent mid-week adventure was a 'triple date' (Nicole, our friend Melissa and I) dining at Tamarine in Palo Alto. 

Our order included the following:

Denim and Stripes

I am all about comfort. I love oversized sweaters, baggy boyfriend jeans and loose fitting dresses. This silk striped dress by Joie is as comfortable as it is versatile. It can easily be dressed up when belted and paired with heels or a blazer. Alternatively, it can be dressed down with denim and weathered boots (as seen here). I happened to be on my way to dinner with girlfriends and opted for a more casual look without a belt, so I could chow down! ;)

 I happen to think it's rather hilarious that my jean jacket is from high school (my Abercrombie and Fitch days). It has been put in the Good Will pile on numerous occasions, yet I always seem to pull it back out (and happy I've done so).

I am in my girlfriend Brittany's wedding this summer (can. not. wait). I ordered my bridesmaid shoes on Gilt Groupe a few weeks ago and finally got around to trying them on last night. For someone who loves shoes and shopping, I'm not too sure why I waited this long to try them on, but I think they will work out perfectly. I've already tested out my walking and dancing abilities and they passed with flying colors. Yes, I am that girl who dances in my clothes / shoes before making any purchases. I love that they sparkle and am especially in love with the cute loops in the back!

Pretty Macaron {Paulette}

The Macarons from Paulette in Hayes Valley are almost too pretty to eat (almost). I've been curious/anxious to try these french pastries for some time now, so when hit with a snack attack on my way home from work I knew exactly where I needed to stop off. Obviously I couldn't choose just one flavor to try and ended up purchasing a mini assortment to bring home for my roomies! Let me tell you: while irresistible in looks, they did not disappoint in taste (extremely moist).  The macarons are made fresh daily and with flavors like: Earl Grey and Rose you'll be sure to keep your taste-buds guessing and craving for more.

I am officially enrolled in a photography class (nicole's classes) for the month of April and I couldn't be more excited!! Having hobbies and creative outlets (ie: blogging) to come home to after work sure makes me happy. I'm hoping to capture more of the things I enjoy and love, so I can share them with you!

Cheetah looks especially chic on perfectly manicured feet (see above). 
I'm currently craving hot pink and orange on my toes (hello spring!), but you really can't go wrong with essie's mink muffs. And while you're at it, paint those finger nails a fun color too! I am a huge fan of switching up my nail color, as in at least once a week.

May I suggest: lilacism or tart deco

Feeling Floral

I spent my weekend with the family in beautiful Tahoe. 

Rather than hitting the slopes, my Uncle took us to the Truckee River Winery for an afternoon spent sipping zin and pinot. I highly recommend a trip to this quaint winery, which happens to be the highest and coldest winery; you will be treated with the utmost hospitality. A couple of wine glasses later, my mom, sister and I ditched the boys and headed downtown for a little girls bonding time (aka shopping with Dad's credit card hehe). I spotted this one sleeve floral dress and knew it just had to come home with me! ;)

Daylight Savings

I don't know about you but daylight savings kicked my booty this week. Yes driving home in the sunshine was fantastic, but waking up in what seemed to be the middle of the night was a different story. Alas, I persevered and the weekend has arrived. 
Side Note: I recently purchased this cropped blouse (on sale!) at the LF Store on Union Street. I'm a huge fan of ruffles (anything super girly is right up my alley). Thanks to the lovely weather this week, I was able to sport it.

Cultive Fro-Yo

I will look for just about any excuse as a reason to get frozen yogurt. Took too long to find parking, stressful day at work... you name it. My reasoning this past Sunday (besides the amazing weather), a new fro-yo shop opened up on Union Street: Cultive Frozen Yogurt.
I obviously needed to do a little taste test.

{The Verdict: Just as delicious as I had hoped.}

I typically judge frozen yogurt shops based on two aspects: (1) variety of flavors and (2) quality of topping choices. I especially love when a variety of healthy toppings are offered as well as your typical chocolate chips, reese's pieces and cheesecake bites. Fresh blueberries and mangos equal big points in my book. AND, as an added bonus, Cultive Frozen Yogurt is self serve. I really can't describe it, but there is something about having the power over how much and how many toppings I can choose to put in my yogurt creation.

Girls with Style {Tessa}

Miss Tessa evokes style and natural beauty. I've always admired her fun and eclectic wardrobe, as well as the fact that she can literally pull off ANY look. Tess is my current roomie and one of the first friends I made in college. A true blue girlfriend!
