Twiggy Giveaway {James Jeans}

Ann Taylor Sweater, Joie Blouse, gifted James Jeans, BCBG Pumps, JCrew + Vintage Jewelry, Michael Kors Watch
Karen Walker Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Purse

Since receiving my Twiggy Sways over a month ago (first seen here) they have quickly become one of my favorite pairs of jeans, out ranking some of my most worn in 7's. The perfect amount of stretch and semi high-waist make them extra slimming while the super soft denim makes them unbelievably comfortable (all of the qualities I look for in a pair of jeans). I wanted to share my Twiggy love with you fabulous readers and the awesome team at James Jeans are letting me do just that!!
For a chance to win your very own pair of Twiggy's:

1. State in the comments: What do you look for in a pair of jeans?
2. "Like" James Jeans on Facebook
3. "Like" Cheetah is the New Black on Facebook

A winner will be chosen at random and announced this Friday! Good luck ;)

I look for a great stretchy skinny jean, and those look like just that! :)

I look for a good fitting skinny in the hips and the butt. I like them to have a great stretch. I find james jeans to be a perfect fit :)

These look so flattering and comfy; my favorite type of denim! I like Cheetah is the New Black & James Jeans on facebook :)

Erin said...

They've got to fit in the hips! I love skinnies- they just need to be the right fit, which these look great! I'm kinda obsessed with high waisted these days too!

KR said...

When they don't gap in the back when I sit down, that is just perfect!

Nikki! said...

A pair that is comfortable, fashionable, and flatters my butt. :)

I like my jeans dark, with a bit of stretch, and a skinny leg!

I love stretchy, comfy, versatile jeans that I can pair with anything in my wardrobe, and make my legs look long! Liked you and James Jeans on Facebook. Thanks for a great contest!

Taryn said...

I like jeans that I can move in and don't gap in the back.
I'm on the hunt for a good fitting pair of high waisted wide legged jeans.

Mallory H. said...

I look for the dark, mysterious skinnies that look great dressed up or down. Also, I look for the ones that make my tush look tiny!!

this free bird said...

Well you know how I do like the denim...I look for quality of fabric, fit in the waist especially the back part (no dip or gap), and then depending on style - how it actually fits.

ie. I don't like skinny's that are too skin tight or too long so really appreciate brands that offer ankle/reg/long inseams.

for bell-bottoms - I want a REAL bell-bottom that is narrow to the knee and then BELL.

I could go on, but you don't need a book I bet! hehe

xo,
c
pssst - fingers crossed !

I think for me, the perfect pair of jeans has to be comfortable and have a good amount of stretch. The fit around the waist is really important for me too so I usually end up trying on many many pairs before finding the one.
Thanks for this great giveaway.
I already like you on Facebook.

Hi, I'm Carissa said...

I look for a slim cut, dark wash with just a touch of stretch so its comfy, but you can't see every imperfection. Must importantly I have to feel good in them :)

LAPT said...

I look for a pair that fits my hips well, but doesn't gap at the waist!

B said...

I look for dark wash, mostly black and they must have stretch.

Exciting!!! Liked both with Megan B and
I look for the right color, perfect length, stretchy but tight, and they have to make my butt look good!

These sound like dream jeans! I definitely look for something with a higher rise, and something soft & stretchy. I'm generally more of a dress girl, so my jeans HAVE to be comfortable if I'm going to wear them! These sound perfecto!

I already like you on facebook, but now like James Jeans, too!

Taylor said...

EEEKS! So exciting!

In jeans I need comfort but maybe not before fit - in skinnies I like them tight but with a bit of stretch! and not too low in the rise! These sound perfect!

I follow BOTH of you on Facebook, wasn't sure if i needed to enter those as separate entries! If so let me know!

I love jeans I can dress up or down. jeans that are timeless. & jeans that make my husband tell me my butt looks good! love joes jeans!

Kat Skull said...

I look for a little bit of stretch, where the waist sits on my hips, the length reaches my ankles without going past (hard to do because I'm so short!) I also like to have a little boot cut because my calves are larger than the next girl. Some skinnies are just too tight.

Reez Q said...

Since I'm short, I like skinny jeans that hit right at the ankle. I'm quite active so they must be comfortable and stretch. Low-rise, but not so much so that you can see the crack. hehe =]

Brooklynvt said...

I need a good ankle length (since I'm just in at 5'2") and a fabric that's comfortable & stretchy, yet doesn't lose it's shape after one wear.

rachel ray said...

They have to be long enough! I'm 6 feet tall, so that's always a problem. Also, I do a 'sit' test. If I can't sit down without the pants sliding half way down my bum, well, they're a no-go.

Alicia said...

@rachel ray, i've never tried a 'sit' test - but i usually do a little dance test in the dressing room before any purchase ;)

Marci said...

They must pass the muffin top test...then it is go!

Elham said...

I look for a snug fit that flatters all the right places, with a semi-high waist is perfect! they need to look good with heels...something that lengthens and slims without being too rigid or tight, phew!

Anna Jane said...

i look for jeans with a long inseam...otherwise, they'll be highwaters on me. great giveaway - i like both on FB.

I literally have 8 pairs of james jeans in all kinds of cuts and washes. They are my fave...what I look for in a jean is that they are James! off to like you and James now :)

katie said...

while I do love a pair of jeans with a little stretch.. lately I want to jeans to be raw, thick and tough, with a high waist and straight leg.

Valerie said...

Those jeans look amazing on you! I also LOVE the cardigan. I look for a little stretch, but enough structure so that after a day of wearing them they don't sag in the important areas. I like them to hit right at my ankle (why do I have to hem all my jeans these days?). I also like the slightly higher waist so I don't expose anything that should be kept private when having a seat. So these jeans sound right up my alley! Awesome giveaway!

I always have issues with gap in the back...but if I go down a size the butt and thighs look too tight. I look for a classic denim that can be dressed up or casual. A boot cut is my fav.

Peetzi Jen said...

I "liked" and "liked" : )

I love jeans with a good fit. Not too low but not too high in the waist. And not so skinny that your circulation is cut OFF!

Oh and the quality of the denim needs to be good...none of this sagging to your knees by lunchtime nonsense.

Mara- Chic for Cheap said...

I'm a strictly skinny jeans gal, and a little stretch doesn't hurt. Great giveaway!

S and O said...

First and foremost my perfect pair of jeans have got to be comfortable! What's the use of them being stylish and cute if you can't even wear them?!
Second they have to be the right length, I don't know about you but I hate those jeans that ride up when ever you sit down lol :)

FRANKIE HEARTS FASHION said...

I love a good comfy jean that lifts your booty a little bit. Nothing worse than wearing jeans that make your butt look flat and non-existent. How unattractive is that?! Fab giveaway doll! xo

Alicia said...

@Frankie - yes the flat butt look is never a good thing!!

Caitlin said...

I've always been a skinny jean kind of girl with a hint of stretch in them. I usually go for a dark wash because they are more versatile for day and night. James Jeans have been a long time favorite of mine but are hard to find in stores. Alicia - thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!

xx, C

Kimbirdy said...

i like a bit of stretch, so it doesn't take too long to get them stretched out to a comfortable feel. slight stretch also helps them from getting so stretched out in the waste that they fall off after a couple wearings.

ps - a friend of mine lives in one of those windows behind you!

Caitlin said...

I like a bit of stretch and can't go wrong with dark demin. Great giveaway - thanks!

I follow you and James Jeans on fb. :)

These days I reach for my skinnies most often, with my wide legs coming in second. I like my jeans to be soft, in a nice dark rinse, and have some stretch in them since I run around a lot! I'm also a shortie so when I find that pair that is the perfect ankle length, it's a nice plus!

Morgan Von Steen said...

I look for jeans with style...well, obviously. I like to picture them suficing for casual day at the Vogue offices, out on a first date, or simply to the 3rd period chemistry. I have grown up in jeans, and I plan to grow old in them.

jennine said...

i love james jeans! and yeah, the perfect amount of stretch will go a looong way!

Laura said...

I'm a rower - I like jeans that actually FIT my thighs, without bagging out at the waist. Right now I'm in skinnies all the time - all the better to tuck boots into!

Bonus points if I don't have to cut 45inches off to fit my short little legs :)

What do I look for in a jean? I look to make sure my butt looks good! And my tummy looks flat ;-)

Callie said...

I like jeans that aren't too baggy but aren't too tight--and no butt gappage!

I like dark wash.. slim fit and comfort!

I love jeans that are comfortable while perfect in length and flatter your butt!

Carri Telesco said...

I look for a pair that fits my bum and hips perfectly, with no gapping in the back! and, these look quite perfect :)

Maggie said...

Length! I'm 5'10 so finding the perfect length has always been tough. Stretch and dark was are added bonuses.

Leigh said...

always looking for jeans that fit my big booty without the extra poof in the back, but not too tight, i hate when they feel painted on.

Emily said...

a perfect jean is hard to find. but when it is found, there might not be anything better. i look for a flattering cut (which is boot cut or skinny for me), a flattering color (which is dark denim for me), and good "butt pockets". butt pockets can make or break then entire desired effect. (i like James Jeans of FB!)

I'll admit, I've been a terrible denim owner for a long time- washing them way too often so all the color comes off, wearing my flares with flats so the cuffs fray, buying them with way too much stretch so that after 3 wears they're too big and I have to start the vicious cycle again...well, it's time to change all that. My next denim investment will be a pair of tight skinnies (NOT jeggings) with a night-on-the-town dark wash and little to no stretch. And short of being doused with corn syrup, I promise not to wash them :)

Being 5'9 the thing I look for is length!! Skinny jeans are great cuz they always seem to be long enough! However, Im still on the search for a wide leg that is long enough with a pair of heels!

alicia xoxo said...

I love jeans that can go the distance. I may be a lady, but i wear my jeans out! As for styles, i love soft skinny jeans with a bit of stretch, nobody wants to be sucked into something while at work all day... Skinnies are my go to right now, and go perfectly with all my heels and ankle boots!
great giveaway alicia!!

i have (unproportional to the rest of my body) skinny legs. so i look for jeans that are skinny in the legs, long (because my legs are unproportionally long also) and have stretch in the waist!

Katie said...

I like jeans that are stretchy so that I don't feel uncomfortable all day BUT they also must stay fresh looking... I don't want any wrinkles or sags, you know?

Skinny jeans that still stretch. And, of course they need to be flattering!

i love the two extremes: stretchy, soft super skinnies or well-tailored wide-legs.
