Christmas is by far my favorite time of year (Thanksgiving following with a close second). Of course it's always fun to receive gifts but the older I get the more I've come to cherish my time with family and appreciate the festivities. I'm happy to be home and am looking forward to making gingerbread houses, admiring Christmas lights and taking over an entire church pew with my extended family (we have a full house this year). Besides the obvious holiday excitement and singing along for hours to the *NSYNC Christmas CD, here's a little snippet of the "pretty things" that got me through this week. A thrifted $10 sweater with cute little penguins. Sending (and receiving) Christmas cards. Pretty shoe clips from my sweet girlfriend. And my wedding heels arrived, pretty pink box and all!

Ohhh the NSYNC Christmas CD is the best for getting into the holiday spirit! And these pictures are so pretty; they make me wish I had a better camera. Enjoy your time at home and have a very merry Christmas!
Love those shoe clips! And wedding shoes--can't wait to see those!! I'm with you..as we get older presents are nice, but it's time spent with our friends and family that mean the most (ok--and maybe it's a little bit about *NSYNC and their Christmas album) :)

i've spent several christmases all by myself up in san francisco, so i completely agree about time with loved ones being the best part of christmas. i'm so excited to be surrounded by so many friends this weekend.

Leash - i love how you call that sweater "thrifted" haha. i own that sweater. like, i bought it when it first arrived at jcrew. i made my mom track it down for me circa around 2007 for christmas. it was sold out in our local seattle stores. it was the height of happy feet/ march of the penguins penguin phenomena! i still wear that sweater all the time, i wore it last week to work. i think its oh so cute and actually one of my very favorite sweaters ever.
