Festive in Pink

Last year Christmas came and went all too quickly. I didn't listen to nearly enough Christmas carols or watch an adequate amount of my favorite holiday movies (currently watching Home Alone 2 while I type this). So this year I vow to over indulge in everything festive to get my fair share of holiday spirit and compensate for last years lack thereof. This past weekend we marked the start to our holiday cheer and Christmas decorating. A miniature (and pink!) tree was purchased, mistletoe was strung in the doorway and four little stockings hang over our fireplace.
Next on the docket: ice skating in Union Square and a festive Christmas party with close friends.
What are your favorite holiday cocktails? I would love recommendations!

I love this tree! Very unique and non-traditional. My grandmother always serves Poinsettas at her holiday party, it's cranberry juice and champagne. Simple, but tasty.

I hear you, I waited too long last year and didn't really get to do much at all (besides attend Christmas parties and drink copious amounts of wine - but I was lacking the nostalgic side of Christmas!)so this year I need to buckle down and make sure I watch the muppets christmas carol at least 3 times, etc! The time goes too quickly!

I felt the same way this year -- last year I never even ended up getting a tree!

I'm making it up for it with decorating and baking and holiday crafts this time around.

Ah, this pink tree! How adorable!

I woke up horribly late this morning and my first thought was that scene in Home Alone when they're rushing to the airport-aye!

As for my favorite holiday cocktails, I can't resist a well-made eggnog, and I love a classic champagne cocktail!

i totally agree - soak up as much of the holidays as you possibly can! as for cocktails, i usually stick to my fall favorite - spiced cider & rum. i suppose i could also branch out to mulled wine, or some combination of bailey's with a hot drink. not very cocktail-y i know, but those are some favorites for the holidays.
