I'm currently in New York spending my first Thanksgiving with the fiance. We enjoyed a walk through the Cornell campus this morning, and I managed to snap a few photos before the snow turned my fingers into icicles. This first Thanksgiving away from home means the stuffing and mashed potatoes won't be nearly as scrumptious as if my Mom or Nana were doing the cooking but the food isn't really what it's all about. Yes, I wish our families could be with us, but I'm thankful to be spending this day with my best friend.
And secondly I'm thankful for Black Friday and a weekend spent in New York City starting tomorrow!

Lucky duck. I'm still waiting for the day I get to spend a holiday with my boyfriend of 3 years. Maybe next year will be lucky number 4? haha
P.S. Love your boots. I can't remember...where are they from again?
Aww you guys are adorable! Happy Thanksgiving! Also, where is your coat from? I've been looking for a winter coat that is really warm but cute at the same time. I've had enough of these Ohio winters!
Happy Thanksgiving Alicia and Tanner. So happy you are able yo spend the holiday together. With a "first" comes new traditions and I'm so happy for you guys as you begin a new chapter of your life. I'm sure the meal was tasty and the company even better! ;) This was such a sweet post. Thanks for sharing your life w us! We are all better for it! Your positive spirit is contagious! Happy Turkey Day!
@Phoebe - my boots are from JCrew a few years ago hence the very worn in / weathered look.
@Best Foot Forward - the jacket is from Eddie Bauer (my mom recently gave it to me because she knew the jackets I have wouldn't cut it on the East coast) ;)
omg can't believe that darling jacket is eddie bauer! spent the first thanksgiving away from home too -- tough, but it's fun to start new traditions! happy black friday shopping and i hope you find some cozy/fashionable gloves!
aww so cute. Don't you love being with your best friend?! I sure do :) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving :) And good luck with the Black Friday sales :)

i've just stumbled upon your blog and have been paging through all the lovliness it contains! gosh, i'm adoring your fashion sense and signature leopard/cheetah prints...how you work elements into your outfits is awesome! and the chunky jewelry is equally rad too.
i didn't see a follower button, otherwise i woulda pressed it but will be saving your link on my desktop for many more views. hope you had the most wonderful holiday in NY, you and your fiance are darling!
i LOVE leopard and recently acquired a new coat, seen here. i'm practically living in it - TOTAL. ♥

John and I enjoyed this Thanksgiving solo, too! He was so excited to nap and eat at his leisure, and frankly, I was glad that one family wouldn't be hurt that we were visiting the other! Families in Dallas and Princeton when you live in San Francisco certainly make holiday traveling complicated!
Hope you're enjoying your day in NYC. These pics are great. The coat looks very cute on you. I know your families wish they could be with you also. Love ya both!
Nice pictures :)
Just Like a True Star
Eddie Bauer was having a great outwear sale online today, so I ordered a winter coat...thanks for the suggestion! Also I saw cheetah print earrings at Macy's today. They are officially being added to my Christmas list :)
Just a random passer-by, but you always look beautiful! Who makes your jacket/where is it from? xo
Whoops, completely missed my previously raised question. I just caught the answer, so just disregard.
You look beautiful. You're such an inspiration!

It was our first Thanksgiving at our place this year, without any family too. Fun finally cooking my first turkey, but we did miss the family time.
I love all your pictures! And so jealous that you spent the weekend in NYC! How fun!
