JCrew Sweater and Boots, gifted James Jeans, Vintage Stole, H&M Headband, Forever 21 Bracelet, Micheal Kors Watch
This past weekend was a wet one and therefore I spent 90% of it in sweatpants curled up on the couch. I was finally forced to put on real clothes late Sunday afternoon and decided to take this casual outfit up a notch with the addition of my fur stole (originally seen here). Casual attire mixed with elegant pieces always reminds me of my style icon: Jenna Lyons. She is known for pairing unassuming items such as sequins with chambray, in a very down to earth and attainable way.
Have you tried pairing everyday attire with evening wear?

Love this look Alicia! I think it's the perfect Thanksgiving weekend look. ;) Casual enough to be comfortable lounging at home, but dressy enough to make you feel like you're celebrating a special occasion. Love your rosy lips too! So flattering and fun on you! So pretty!
You have great style!! And what I love is that your down to earth nature seems to show through your photos. GORGEOUS as always! Can't wait to FINALLY get together!! Thanks for understanding lady. And, I am sending you a sweet little something tomorrow. XO!

That fur stole is so cool! I love the idea of wearing fur for daytime. I was at Gap kids over the weekend and found a leopard faux fur coat for my niece and HAD to get it. I thought of you!

What a terrific look (and fantastic stole)! I too spent most of the weekend curled up under the covers, but didn't look nearly this fabulous when I dragged myself to the grocery store!

Such a fun mix! The leopard head band, fur stole & red lip have such a vintage glam feel, then paired with a casual outfit it's unexpected and oh so gorgeous!

You look gorgeous! You totally rock the casual pieces mixed with evening wear. I might just have to copy you sometime!
Love the head band and fur! I think with that leopard/cheetah print material I found at JoAnn's may turn into a headband!
@thebrunetteone - very cute idea!
Go Alicia! I love this look, you look very classy and pulled together. I love the headband, I might have to pick one up!

Oh my, I love your blog and I cannot believe I haven't come across it before! My friend recommended it to me and I'm glad she did. I also love this outfit on you. Adoring the colour of your sweater, and that fur store is gorgeous (I'm completely obsessed with faux fur this fall).

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
