Weekend Recap {Fiance Visits}

This past weekend I enjoyed spending time with the fiance (he finished finals and flew in from New York for a quick visit). During his short time in the bay area we managed to fit in a healthy dose of pre-Halloween activities and treats including a visit to the Mill Valley pumpkin patch where we picked out a few winners that I plan on carving later this week. I also purchased a box of coconut cream cheese cupcake mix from the Tyler Florence store in downtown (a must visit), as well as pumpkin pancake mix from my local Trader Joes. I'm thinking pancakes for dinner one night this week! Between baking these treats and over dosing on candy corn I think I am well on my way to fulfilling all of my fall sweet cravings.
I rounded out my weekend with lunch at The Grove with this pretty lady. She taught me a few new tips and tricks for creating collages and I've been playing around with iWork ever since! It was the perfect way to spend a drizzly Sunday afternoon. How was your weekend?

Yay for coming to the pumpkin patch! Did Greg give you the "We know Karen" discount?

@Karen, I didn't end up asking - it was so cheap anyway! ;) But it was so cute, I'm glad we went!!

Oh what a fun weekend! I haven't made a collage in a while, because I don't have photoshop on my Mac. (it's on my old pc) Maybe I should look at iwork? Would love to know your thoughts if you've worked with both.

Sounds like a lovely weekend, and a terrific little visit! John's been begging me to carve pumpkins for weeks, but I've been holding him off until now to ensure fresh pumpkins for Halloween!

Sounds like the perfect festive weekend with your fiance! You look so happy in this picture! I love those huge pumpkin shaped candy corn. What is it about them that makes them so much better than the regular shape? Maybe the enormous size?

Looks like the most perfect fall weekend. I'm planning on an outing much like this myself soon. We haven't done anything to celebrate the season yet, other than a handful of football games (and, like you, an unhealthy overdose of candy corn!).

Kara said...

I want to go there! It looks like you had a wonderful time.
