Wedding Update + {Heels}

I have not blogged about my wedding plans in a while and thought I would do an update post for those interested. We are getting married this June (8 more months to go!) in our home town. The ceremony will take place in the church I grew up going to as a little girl (beautiful, historic, brick, located in the heart of downtown) with the reception at our country club. I ordered my dress a month or so ago (you can read about it here), picked out my bridesmaid dresses (thanks to my trusty go to: JCrew), met with our florist to discuss arrangements, finalized our theme (vintage / romantic). And surprisingly, for planning everything myself (with a lot of help from my mom) I have not stressed about it at all (yet!).  Next exciting item my list: finding the perfect wedding heels, because these mean as much to me as the dress!

Badgley Mischka
Christian Louboutin
Fendi

What matters most to you, the wedding dress or heels?

The middle ones are my favorite too ;)

The wedding dress .. I had two!! Ha one that I slipped on just for dancing, Marc and I are big dancers and it was so important that I was able to move around and DANCE! I love the bottom left heels!!! What country club are you planning on having it at?? Please tell me you golf ... I've been golfing since the age of 6. Can't wait to hear more about your wedding details in person. XO

I think the dress might actually be more important to me, although I'll definitely be sporting some awesome heels, too!

The Badgley Mischkas are my favorite. Love, love, love the simple romanticism of them. Plus, they're the cheapest. Score!

we had those Badgley's at the boutique I manage, we had them in grey. The flower is beautiful in person.

I am not sure what mattered more to me, the shoes or the dress. I think they go hand in hand. You can't have a beautiful dress with boring shoes, or vice versa. Good luck picking!

I had two pairs of shoes for my day! hahaha. one for style and one for comfort/style.

the dress! but of course, the heels are crucial to making me feel great about my whole ensemble. i guess it really is all in the details...

Gorgeous Heels!! I especially love the one with the satin bow on it!
The dress is extremely important to me! Of course, I'm only 15 so I've got a while to go until I do get married, but it doesn't hurt to dream, right?? (Lets Hope So!)
I love the blog! Stay Chic!

beijos!

All of these are just gorgeous -- even the $200 pair!

I'm not even close to marriage, but I admit to reading once wed and all the weddings that stand out in my mind have brides who wear killer brightly colored heels... bright red or baby blue or even yellow. Have you ever thought about colored shoes?

Of course I like the most expensive ones...and I would say the heels matter more since you can still wear them after the wedding, haha ;)

I plan on getting married on the beach barefoot so I'm going to have to say the dress means more to me!! And oddly enough, I like the most and least expensive ones you chose best!

BOTH! But, if I could do it over again I wouldn't have bought cream colored shoes (I am currently looking to dye them black) They are BEAUTIFUL, but you will never wear them again!

Oooh, these are all amazing! The bottom left pair is my favorite. Of course they're the most expensive. To me my dress was much more important because you couldn't see my heels. They were still important, but took a back seat to the dress. Sounds like such a pretty wedding! I can't wait to hear more details. I didn't start really stressing until it got down to the last 3 months or so. Hopefully you won't stress at all though!

I would say the dress...I kind of want to be barefoot on the beach :) But these shoes are gorgeous! Any of them will be stunning on you.

I love those Fendi's with the bow and the sparkly Loubs. Are one of these beauties your wedding shoes?

It's a hard call, but I would say shoes would matter more because you want them to be cute and comfy. My friend bought some really nice shoes for her wedding day and proceeded to kick them off as soon as the ceremony was over because they sucked in the comfort department.

To me, it was the dress. It's what everyone will see and be amazed by and will be in ALL the pictures. I know its hard to accomplish but just try to find shoes that are at least slightly comfy- you'll be in them ALL night :)

@fshnonmymind, i have not purchased my wedding shoes yet, but am currently on the hunt!

ohhhhh these shoes are allll great! thanks for stopping by my blog and i heart your blog! and michaels is evil! i spend so much money there. i think i should buy stocks... lol

gasp! why are my favorites the ones over $1,000?! that's life i guess. :) for me the dress was far more important. of course, our wedding was in a grassy backyard and my inner hippie came out in a big way - i just went barefoot until dancing time! i can't wait to see your wedding, it's going to be so gorgeous and classy. and i'm sure your bridesmaids are rejoicing you went with j. crew (their bridesmaid dresses are SO much prettier than most).

All these shoes are great. I love the Badgley Mischka shoes a lot.

First of all, congrats!! Your plans so far sounds fantastic :) My favorite pairs are the Fendi pumps with bows and the bedazzled Loubs! I can't wait to see what you end up picking

A.Co said...

EEP!! So exciting!

Both are important to me... that's a toughie though. EVERYONE sees the dress, but unless you're a shoe whore (like myself), people won't necessarily see the shoes... nor ask to see 'em.
