Tartine Bakery

My girlfriends and I ventured into the mission again this past Saturday morning for a delectable bite at Tartine Bakery, a true San Francisco gem. The buttery croissant, slightly sweet yet not overpowering almond croissant, bread pudding with fresh berries, mushroom quiche made with creme fraiche and frothy soy lattes all completely hit the spot. Our brunch was so delicious that we were tempted to order a second round, this time for "lunch." Thankfully we were on a strict schedule due to fleet week (the blue angels were in town this weekend flying over the city), and did not want to miss the air show. Which, by the way, made for an exciting weekend full of rooftop parties and barbecues.

Ok seriously, almond croissants are one of my favorite things ever!!! Must be the Swede in me! :)
I've never been to Tartine, but have heard about it. It's on my list of places to hit, the next time I'm in SF. Hopefully that will happen sooner than later. ;)

The bread pudding with berries looks AMAZING. I am having pastry envy right now stuck here at my desk. Why can't every day be brunch day?! :o) xx
