Mid-Calf {The New Mini} Skirt

Vintage Blouse and Skirt, JCrew Necklace, Christian Louboutin Heels

Longer mid length and maxi skirts have been popping up all over the runways and I am completely supportive of this trend. The chic mid-calf 1970's cut shows just the right amount of skin, looks sophisticated and most importantly, is flattering on all body types / heights. I am 5 foot 1 inch tall and thought this particular cut would make me look even shorter. Low and behold, with a pair of pumps (my beloved Christain Louboutins in this case) the length proved to actually be very elongating. I'm not bidding adieu to mini skirts but I will definitely be incorporating more mid-calf length skirts into my life this fall and winter.

I love it all. The skirt length would probably never work on me because of my height, but on you it's amazing.

I agree, I thought this length would make me look really short but it actually does the opposite! Who knew? I'm so envious of all this thrifting going on and definitely need to get on board with it. That skirt is so pretty and ladylike, what a gem. And I will always love those heels. So classic.

This is absolutely gorgeous on you. Perfect beyond perfect. The skirt and heels are just wonderful together. I'm five foot two inches and couldn't agree more. Heels = save!

Love your vintage blouse and skirt! I actually just bought a maxi skirt, and I was shocked that I didn't look like I was drowning! I'm 5'1 too, so you know how tricky that can be. I'm so jealous of your loubies! I've wanted that exact pair for a long time, and just haven't purchased yet. What the heck is wrong with me?! LOL! They look amazing on you! I need to get on that! ;)
