Warming Up: {Shearling}

I must admit that I was rather wary of the shearling trend at first. Most likely because I was reminded of my Abercrombie and Fitch days, but the more I see said lambs wool in various forms (ie: not solely on the collars of jackets) the more I am warming up to it. And for someone who is always cold I am seriously contemplating purchasing any and all of the above to keep me extra toasty this winter, especially with multiple east coast trips planned. I'm shivering just thinking about it!

How do you feel about shearling? Have you "warmed up" to it, or were you always a fan?

I'm definitely warming up to it at this point, too! I felt the exact same way about the AF connection, but I've seen some street style photos where the wearer was looking way more Barney's than Hollister!!

@Brookelyn, yes me too, my thoughts exactly!

I adore it in shoes and gloves, but haven't gotten to much more. Maybe when it has been combed like on the vest.
Oh but I know me, I will see loads of neat ways to wear it, and I will crave it too :o)

I am not sure about this trend yet. At least for me. I love it on other ladies, but I am not sure if it will work for me.

Love it. That Vince drape front jacket is SICK AND WRONG, but in a good way.

Merci!

I love it! But I can't imagine wearing it here, it never gets cold enough. But that clutch is a different story. It's amazing!!!

I love shearling-I have the most outrageous coat with a huge shawl collar that has kept me toasty on more than one family trip way up North! It's a little warm for SF, but I'll certainly be pulling it out when we're home for Christmas!

I don't know if I have warmed up to it yet. I like it in small quantities, like those booties!And of course the leopard clutch! Did you buy any shearling?

Alicia! You've gotta get the clutch - at least - it's got your name all over it!!

I'd totally wear the hat. I'd be a little sweaty, but I'd be happy :)

I think shearling has come along way. There are lot of modern variations that I've come across and just love. Last year I saw a pair of shearling shoes on Patricia Field's boutique site and to this day I still kick myself for not buying them!

This type of trend is something I have to see in person. I'm still not 100% about it, especially not on shoes. The cape you have here isn't bad though.
