Upon arriving in New York we dropped off our bags and headed straight for the heart of the Meatpacking District. After a cramped red eye flight I needed to stretch my legs (do not run in any kind of race before flying...ouch) and was excited to taste what The Standard Grill had to offer. We sat outside on their patio, a prime people watching location, and I oohed and ahhhed throughout our entire meal at the fashionable New Yorkers around us. The food was delicious, and I especially loved the lightly salted bread and butter that they brought to our table. I highly suggest stopping here for lunch, or perhaps a mid-day shopping break, as Diane Von Furstenberg, Vince, Jeffrey and Scoop are all just steps away.
