A16 has been on my personal 'wine and dine' list for a long time now. This past Sunday night (after the proposal) I finally tried the pizza I've been hearing so much about. My boyfriend and I shared a delicious fennel sausage and mozzarella pizza that had just the right amount of kick to it. The lively atmosphere was the perfect environment for a celebratory night. I should have gone years ago but I will definitely be back again soon to try more of their unique Italian dishes!
{starter: roasted calamari}
{pizza: 'salsiccia'}
{side: roasted carrots}
I've been on a major pizza kick lately, what unique pizzarias top your list?

Girl. Come to Oakland and I'll take you to Zachary's... Delish deep dish Chicago-style pizza. :)
Meeee toooo!!! I love North Beach pizza when I'm up in SF! My ex-bf who lived there introduced me to it. Pretty amazing, traditional style. I also really love NY pizza, but Chicago pizza is WAY too much cheese! As for chain pizza...I'm a big fan of Round Table. LOL!

mmmmm A16! i've heard such fabulous things! that pizza looks AMAZING!
@Nikki, mmm, I want to go! let's plan a date soon. deep dish pizza sounds amazing! :)
@Bren, North Beach pizza is still one of my favorites! I used to live dangerously close (3 blocks away)!
Yum! I love special pizza. Now I'm ready for lunch!
There are no pizzerias near me other than the typical chain ones - Pizza Hut, Dominos... I would love to visit this place - looks amazing!! :)
Excuse me missy, he is now your FIANCE, not your boyfriend!! Better practice saying it!! xoxoox
Alicia! I didn't know that you hadn't been to A16 before! Isn't it great?! I might have to go there the night of my engagement too. Hahaha. ;) I love it so much! My uncle is an Italian wine importer and he has a few wines on the A16 wine list. We'll have to go together next time and try more pizzas and more wine! Plus, you have to go once and try the chocolate gelatto with sea salt and a dessert wine--one of the best desert experiences ever! :D Happy engagement again and best wishes for years and years of wine and dine together! -Sheila
Yum, that pizza looks amazing! What a perfect way to celebrate after getting engaged! There's a pizza place near us called Abbots which is incredible!
xo

Well here in Rome.. i have a few favorite places..the pizza is thin crust and melts in your mouth!! But A16 also looks like a fun spot!
reading this post before lunch was a bad idea.
my husband and i are hunting for the best pizza in the world - so far, grimaldi's in nyc has been our fave.
