Socks with heels, what used to be a major "no no" in my mind has recently become a popular trend. The ever cyclical fashion world is quite comical (don't you think?). For instance: clogs and overalls; why hello, I never imagined I would see you again. While I'm personally loving clogs, I will definitely not be sporting the overall look any time soon. Been there, did that! Not a flattering look ladies. I do however, condone wearing socks with your heels (see latest J.Crew catalog for fabulous examples).
Side Note: Do you remember when knee high socks were popular?
I would wear my bright red soccer socks as knee highs with skirts. I thought it was so cute, yet looking back at old photos I think geez what was I thinking! Way too thick to be proper knee-high stockings.
Tip: make sure the socks you choose are not too thick / bulky when wearing with heels.

I think socks with heels is ok, depending on the rest of the outfit and picking the right socks and heels. For example Rihanna wore Dior sparkly ankle socks with Brian Atwood heels for the Kid's Choice Awards and rocked the look.

Definitely depends on the heel/sock combo! Some look great, others look terrible. Was your childhood love for knee socks & short skirts inspired by Clueless?? Haha, mine definitely was!
I think some people can definitely pull this look off but I don't think I personally can. I think it depends on your individual style and what you like. :)

if i didn't have stubs for legs and cankles, i would totally rock the sock with heels look.
unfortunately, socks add to my bulkiness. no bueno but i like the look on certain peeps.
I wore my soccer socks with my uniform too!! How funny. I like socks with heels..in certain situations only though haha
I was the same way, but Burberry kind of changed my view on the idea. I'm SUCH a fashion hypocrite.

they are just too cute and dainty!! I LOVE IT!
I love how it looks - especially with wedges or open-toe shoes. It's just adorable; however, I don't think I'll be trying it out myself.

I love those leopard heels. Wish I were brave enough to try socks with heels, but don't think I could pull it off!
