I am all about comfort. I love oversized sweaters, baggy boyfriend jeans and loose fitting dresses. This silk striped dress by Joie is as comfortable as it is versatile. It can easily be dressed up when belted and paired with heels or a blazer. Alternatively, it can be dressed down with denim and weathered boots (as seen here). I happened to be on my way to dinner with girlfriends and opted for a more casual look without a belt, so I could chow down! ;)
Dress: Joie, Jean Jacket: Abercrombie & Fitch, Boots: JCrew, Bag: Tory Burch, Watch: Michael Kors, Essie Nail Polish: Flirt
I happen to think it's rather hilarious that my jean jacket is from high school (my Abercrombie and Fitch days). It has been put in the Good Will pile on numerous occasions, yet I always seem to pull it back out (and happy I've done so).
Do you have any items that you've 'saved' from possible Good Will trips?

this outfit is so cute! i love stripes!
definitely saved my jean jacket to.. i think i've had it since my first year of highschool!! haha!!
What a great striped dress - and not in the usual navy and white. I love how you dressed it down.
I saved an old Gap blazer from my giveaway pile. I never wore it because the sleeves were too long - thank goodness for rolled up sleeves this year!
love the dress ...
i have a heard time getting rid of clothes, because i always feel like i could bring them back someway later on.
Haha haha, I've done the SAME thing with my Abercrombie jean jacket (I think mine is from my freshman year of college, but I'm a bit older, so it equals out) many many times. I actually just put it back in the pile a month ago, and took it back out a week later :)
What?! Lulu's closed in Chico?! That's how I originally learned about it, when I visited my friends who grew up there {serena & melanie eddlemon and Brianne Sluserenko... not that you would know them just because they're from Chico, but hey, I thought I'd give it a shot}. I loved that little boutique. Yes, at least we still have it online!
@Michaela, I actually think of you everytime I wear my A&F Jacket... :)
@Kimbirdy, yes Lulu's and Gigi's closed!!! still pretty upset about it!
My favorite jean jacket is one I saved from the Good Will bag after YOU put it there (your other high school jean jacket)! I think of you whenever I wear it.
I do that all the time, have a big clear out and put things in bags for charity shops, but then look through them and think you know what I still love that and might wear it.
Love the outfit chickity! I def have my fair share of clothing I just can't seem to ever give up. Ummm...my holey, flowery, white-washed (yet most comfortable in the world) jeans being a perfect example of just that. ;-)
you are SO pretty! I love your style. Stripes is my favorite thing ever :) And I love it with the jean jacket. I've had a bunch of stuff I've saved from the good will pile but probably too much. i need more room in my closet haha
hot boots and bag!!

Loving the watch. I'm pretty sure most of my t-shirts belong at goodwill, but they're here to stay!
I just dug out my jean jacket from high school the other day too. It's been getting lots of use lately. I love your outfit!! I like that your dress is simple, but luxurious with its silk!
You added me on IFB so I wanted to come check out your blog! LOVE the bag and boots, looks great!
