When I lived in Northbeach a walk down Grant Street through Chinatown was almost an everyday experience. I usually kept my head down while power walking as fast as I could to escape the crowds and fragrant aromas. It wasn't until recently that I've come to appreciate this cultural neighborhood for it's vibrant colors, thrifty shops, fresh fruits and the complete experience it offers. Chinatown has a charm unique in itself; I'm glad I finally 'slowed down' to see it.
PS: Have you ever tried dragon fruit?

I have never before tried dragon fruit but it sounds fun - hopefully not dangerous, of course! Oh, I adore you in your floral sunnies!! :)
Nope, never tried dragon fruit. But I used to work in the big white building next to St. Mary's and I would walk down Grant St. everyday to get to work... also power walking to avoid the tourists. I actually haven't been back to Chinatown in over a year! Crazy...
Oh, and to answer your question from yesterday, I am studying Counseling Psychology-Marriage & Family Therapy at USF.
Love the pics of our lovely ex-neighborhood! Oh how I miss North Beach and Chinatown and picnics at Washington Square Park! :) Can we go back to those days/moments??? P.S. I love the floral shades missy!
